Specialist Manual Window Control Installation | Proven School Success
The Client: Bishop’s Stortford College is one of the UK’s leading independent co-educational day and boarding schools. Located in Hertfordshire on a 130-acre campus, the College blends historic architecture with modern facilities to provide an exceptional learning environment for pupils aged 4–18.
The Brief: The College required a reliable and safe ventilation solution for their modern classrooms. The project involved installing manual window controls on high-level windows that were out of reach for staff and students. The priority was to ensure easy operation while maintaining the clean, contemporary aesthetic of the learning space.
The Solution: We installed a high-specification manual window controls (often referred to as Teleflex gearing). To complement the classroom’s modern design, we utilized black conduit and operators to match the existing black window frames seamlessly.
This installation allows staff to easily regulate airflow and temperature from a safe, accessible height without the need for ladders or poles. The result is a discreet, functional system that ensures a comfortable and safe environment for teaching and learning.
